  • Tell Congress: Reject Trump’s Rent Hikes and Fully Fund HUD – Last month, Trump and HUD Secretary Ben Carson proposed increasing rents for the very poorest families and seniors in subsidized housing. Their proposal would impact over 4 million people and triple rents for over 700,000 families struggling to keep a roof over their families’ heads. Sign the petition

 

  • Demand Scott Lloyd’s Resignation – Use this 5calls link to call to demand that Scott Lloyd, the current head of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office Of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) resign.  As 5calls mentions, “Lloyd and his extreme practices has transformed an agency charged with protecting the most vulnerable immigrants, including many children who have faced trauma and violence, into one dedicated to punishing them.”

 

  • Add Your Voice to Help Ban Bump Stocks – From Rogan’s List: The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms (BATF) is considering new rules to ban bump stocks, like the ones used in the Las Vegas country music festival attack. These devices drastically increase the maximum rate of fire of semi-automatic rifles, a feature with no legitimate purpose to justify the increased carnage they enable. The BATF is taking public comments regarding these proposed changes until June 27, so the time to make our voices heard is now.
